Are you a book-keeper or accounting person? Hemel West parish needs your help!

I’d like to thank Rena Prendiville for her expert work on the accounts and bookkeeping for our Hemel West parish over the last few years, and especially her unstinting focus and effort to look at the numbers as we brought the two parishes into one. Rena stepped down from the role over the summer.

This means that we need new professional help with our parish accounts and bookkeeping on a voluntary basis. So for those with financial skills – please ask yourselves – are you able to share your talent? If the answer is yes, please take a look at the job description (you can find it by clicking here). If you can help, send an expression of interest to me at brianmcmahon@rcdow.org.uk by 31 October. And if you’d like a chat about what’s involved then do let me know. Thank you, Father Brian

Hemel Catholic Youth website launched

Callum Moore, our youth worker, has just launched the new Hemel Catholic Youth (HCY) website. It’s a highly accessible and comprehensive site, full of fascinating information about Catholicism and opportunities for young people to get involved with the church locally, so why not take a look? You’ll find the HCY site at
https://www.hemelcatholicyouth.co.uk/ .

Going into hospital?

If you, or somebody you care for, is in hospital, please contact the hospital chaplain. You can find contact details, and more information about the hospital chaplaincy team, by clicking here . Please note, these details have been updated for 2018 and replace any previous versions.

Looking for a place for prayer and reflection?

The churches of Our Lady Queen of All Creation and St Mary and St Joseph are both open on most days, between 8.00 am and 4.00 pm.  You are most welcome to spend time there, in quiet prayer and reflection.
